OxygenOS 15.0.0.850 Brings UI Polishing, Private Safe Upgrades, and Offline Messaging to OnePlus 13

One of the headline features is BeaconLink, enabling device-to-device messaging without internet access. Users can send text, voice, and images to nearby devices, making it ideal for locations with weak or no network coverage.

Visual fluidity has also been a priority. Floating windows now open, resize, and reposition with smoother animations, and Split View has been freed from fixed ratios, allowing users to set their preferred layout in landscape mode.

Private Safe becomes more functional, offering the ability to share stored media, customise album covers, and organise items by time. A new “Other files” section provides a dedicated place for miscellaneous content.

Notifications in landscape mode now appear in simplified banners, which can be expanded into floating windows with a swipe down, ensuring minimal disruption during active use. The Recent Tasks interface also benefits from a new gesture — swiping down on a stacked app changes its lock status instantly.

Security isn’t overlooked, with the August 2025 Android security patch included to safeguard against the latest threats.

While the update is already live for some Indian users, OnePlus plans to expand the rollout over the next few days. Those yet to receive it are advised to keep an eye out for the OTA notification.
