Access cluster insights via Amazon OpenSearch Service console and EventBridge
Amazon OpenSearch Service now provides access to Cluster Insights through the AWS Management Console and Amazon EventBridge, enhancing the ability to monitor cluster health and performance.
Amazon OpenSearch Service has expanded its capabilities by offering access to Cluster Insights through the AWS Management Console. Previously, users could only access these insights via the OpenSearch UI Dashboards. This enhancement allows users to easily review performance and resilience suggestions and make necessary configuration adjustments directly within the Console.
Furthermore, Cluster Insights now sends insights as events to Amazon EventBridge. This feature provides curated insights into a cluster’s operational health and offers actionable recommendations to help prevent potential issues that could impact cluster stability or performance. For those requiring more detailed information, the OpenSearch UI Dashboards remain available, offering comprehensive metrics, including index and shard-level data, as well as top-N query analysis.
With the latest update, users can monitor insights through events published to Amazon EventBridge. Importantly, Cluster Insights is offered at no extra cost for OpenSearch versions 2.17 and later in all regions where the OpenSearch Service is available. For further details, users can refer to the technical documentation or check the complete list of supported regions.
