Aws service availability updates

AWS is updating the availability of certain services and features, with some entering maintenance mode and others reaching sunset or end of support. Customers should review timelines and plan migrations accordingly.

We are updating the availability of certain AWS services and features. Some services will transition to maintenance mode, while others will enter sunset or reach the end of support.

Services moving to maintenance
Starting April 30, 2026, the following services will no longer be accessible to new customers, although existing users can continue to use them. AWS will maintain and support these services, and we advise customers to review the changes on the product pages and documentation:

  • Amazon Application Recovery Controller (ARC) – Readiness Check Feature
  • Amazon Comprehend – Topic Modeling, Event Detection, and Prompt Safety Classification Features
  • Amazon Rekognition – Streaming Events and Batch Image Content Moderation Features
  • Amazon Simple Notification Service (SNS) – Message Data Protection (MDP) Feature
  • AWS App Runner
  • AWS Audit Manager
  • AWS CloudTrail Lake
  • AWS Glue – Ray Jobs Feature
  • AWS IoT FleetWise

Services entering sunset
The following services are entering sunset, and we have announced the date when operations and support will end. Customers should review the sunset timeline and start planning their migration to recommended alternatives as outlined in the updated service web pages and documentation:

  • Amazon RDS Custom for Oracle
  • Amazon WorkMail
  • Amazon WorkSpaces Thin Client
  • AWS Service Management Connector

Services reaching end of support
The following feature has reached the end of support and is no longer available as of March 31, 2026:

  • Amazon Chime SDK – Proxy Sessions
