Aws billing dashboards now offer scheduled email delivery
AWS Billing and Cost Management Dashboards now offer scheduled email delivery for reports, allowing automated distribution on flexible schedules. This feature is available in all commercial AWS Regions except China.
AWS Billing and Cost Management Dashboards have introduced a feature that allows users to schedule email delivery for their reports. This new capability enables the automatic distribution of reports on flexible recurring schedules, which removes the need for manual compilation and ensures that key financial insights are delivered to decision-makers without requiring them to access the console.
With the scheduled email reports feature, users can set up daily, weekly, or monthly delivery schedules for their dashboards. The recipients will receive emails with secure links to PDF reports that are password-protected and optimized for offline viewing. Recipients can be managed through AWS User Notifications, and once the schedule is configured, the reports will be generated and sent automatically as per the set schedule. Additionally, these features can be accessed programmatically using AWS SDKs and CLI tools.
This functionality is provided at no extra cost in all commercial AWS Regions, except for AWS China Regions. To begin using this feature, users need to open the AWS Billing and Cost Management console, go to Dashboards, select a dashboard, and choose ‘Manage email reports’ from the Actions menu. For further details, users can refer to the Dashboards user guide and the announcement blog post.
