Aws marketplace introduces discovery api for accessing catalog data
AWS Marketplace has introduced the Discovery API, which provides programmatic access to product and pricing data across its catalog, enhancing both buyer and seller experiences.
AWS Marketplace has launched the Discovery API, which allows for programmatic access to a wide range of product and pricing information within its catalog. This includes data on Software as a Service (SaaS), AI agents and tools, Amazon Machine Images (AMI), containers, and machine learning models. The introduction of the Discovery API enables buyers to integrate catalog data into their internal systems, enhance procurement tools with up-to-date pricing and offer terms, and improve vendor evaluation processes.
For sellers and channel partners, the API offers the capability to display product listings, public pricing, and private offer details directly on their own websites and storefronts. This feature is designed to facilitate customer browsing, comparison, and purchasing processes without requiring them to leave the partner’s platform. The API provides comprehensive access to product descriptions, categories, and pricing across both public and private offers, as well as specific offer terms. This allows organizations to create customized experiences for discovering and purchasing software through AWS Marketplace.
The AWS Marketplace Discovery API is currently available in the US East (N. Virginia), US West (Oregon), and Europe (Ireland) regions. To begin using the API, users need to configure IAM permissions for their AWS account and make API calls via the AWS SDK. For detailed information, users are encouraged to consult the AWS Marketplace Discovery API Reference.
