Amazon Quick introduces dashboard creation from natural language prompts

Amazon Quick’s new Generate Analysis feature allows users to create dashboards using natural language prompts, drastically reducing the time needed for dashboard creation. It is available to Enterprise subscription/Author Pro users.

Amazon Quick has unveiled a new feature called Generate Analysis, allowing users to create dashboards using natural language prompts. Users simply need to describe the desired dashboard, select up to three datasets, and review an editable plan before the dashboard is generated. This new feature significantly reduces the time required for dashboard creation from hours to just minutes by automatically generating organized sheets with appropriate visuals, filter controls for exploring data across different dimensions, and calculated fields like year-over-year growth and month-over-month comparisons.

With Generate Analysis, users can specify their objectives, such as “create a sales performance dashboard with revenue trends, regional comparisons, and month-over-month growth,” and receive a dashboard that is ready for further refinement. The generated output seamlessly integrates with existing publishing workflows, embedding options, CI/CD pipelines, and offers point-and-click editing for ease of use.

Initially, Generate Analysis is available to those with Enterprise subscription or Author Pro status. Authors can access this feature at no additional cost until December 2026 as part of the Amazon Quick Enterprise package, provided their organization has not restricted access. This feature is now generally accessible in all AWS Regions where Amazon Quick is offered.

For more information, users can refer to the “Generating an analysis with natural language prompts” section in the Amazon Quick User Guide. To begin using this feature, users can open any dataset in Amazon Quick and select “Generate analysis.”
