Amazon Quick introduces multiple owner support for SharePoint and Google Drive integrations
Amazon Quick now supports co-owners for admin-managed SharePoint and Google Drive integrations, enhancing team collaboration and connection reuse.
Amazon Quick has expanded its capabilities by allowing the addition of co-owners to knowledge bases and data source connections for administrator-managed integrations with Microsoft SharePoint Online and Google Drive. This enhancement facilitates team collaboration and the reuse of existing connections without the need to re-enter credentials.
Owners of knowledge bases can now assign two distinct roles: Owner, which grants full management access including the abilities to edit, sync, share, and delete; and Viewer, which provides query-only access. The option to share with the Owner role is specifically available for admin-managed SharePoint and Google Drive knowledge bases, whereas other types of knowledge bases support sharing with the Viewer role only.
To share a knowledge base, users can access the actions menu next to the desired knowledge base or utilize the Permissions tab. Additionally, administrators have the ability to share data source connections, enabling other users to create knowledge bases from the same connection. Data source sharing also supports two roles: Owner, who can create knowledge bases and modify connection details; and Viewer, who can create knowledge bases only.
To share a data source, navigate through Manage account > Manage assets > Data sources and select the specific connection you wish to share. This feature is accessible in all AWS Regions where Amazon Quick is offered.
Amazon Quick is available in several regions including US East (N. Virginia), US West (Oregon), Asia Pacific (Sydney), Asia Pacific (Tokyo), Europe (Frankfurt), Europe (London), and Europe (Ireland).
