AWS Elastic Beanstalk introduces deployments tab with live logs
AWS Elastic Beanstalk has launched a Deployments tab that provides real-time deployment logs and a consolidated view of deployment history, enhancing the user experience by offering comprehensive insights directly from the console.
AWS Elastic Beanstalk has introduced a new Deployments tab within the environment dashboard, providing users with a unified view of their deployment history and real-time updates on deployment progress through detailed logs. Previously, users had to wait until deployments were finished to access logs and then piece together information from various sources to understand the deployment process fully. This new feature allows users to monitor deployment status, events, and comprehensive logs directly from the Elastic Beanstalk console, even while deployments are ongoing.
The Deployments tab offers a historical overview of recent deployments within an environment, covering application deployments, configuration changes, and environment launches. Each deployment entry provides a detailed view, including deployment events and a newly integrated log that records each step of the deployment process. This includes stages such as dependency installation, application builds, .ebextensions processing, platform hooks, and application startup outputs.
This enhancement is applicable to all Elastic Beanstalk Linux-based platform branches and is available in every AWS Commercial Region as well as AWS GovCloud (US) Regions where Elastic Beanstalk is operational. For a comprehensive list of supported Regions, users can refer to AWS Regions documentation.
