Amazon EVS expands support to 32 hosts per environment
Amazon Elastic VMware Service now supports up to 32 ESXi hosts per environment, doubling the previous limit. This update provides greater flexibility in configuring clusters.
Amazon has announced an update to its Elastic VMware Service (Amazon EVS), which now supports up to 32 ESXi hosts per environment, doubling the previous capacity of 16 hosts. This enhancement offers greater flexibility in configuring VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) domains and clusters within a single environment. Users can now choose to consolidate all hosts into one large cluster, distribute them across multiple smaller clusters, or use any configuration that best meets their specific needs.
With this update, users have the option to request a service quota increase, allowing them to scale up to a total of 32 hosts. This expansion aims to simplify the management of multiple environments by reducing operational overhead. The new capability is available in all regions where Amazon EVS is offered.
For further information on the steps and procedures involved, users can refer to the Amazon EVS product detail page and user guide.
