Amazon Inspector now operational in AWS Asia Pacific (Taipei) region

AWS has launched Amazon Inspector in the Asia Pacific (Taipei) Region, offering automated vulnerability management for AWS workloads. New users can take advantage of a 15-day free trial.

AWS has announced that Amazon Inspector is now available in the AWS Asia Pacific (Taipei) Region. Amazon Inspector is an automated service focused on vulnerability management, designed to continuously scan AWS workloads such as Amazon EC2 instances, container images, and AWS Lambda functions. The service helps identify software vulnerabilities and unintended network exposure throughout your AWS Organization.

With its expansion into the AWS Asia Pacific (Taipei) Region, Amazon Inspector enhances its security offerings by enabling customers to automatically detect workloads, perform ongoing vulnerability assessments, and receive actionable security findings. The service is capable of identifying newly launched Amazon EC2 instances, Lambda functions, and eligible container images that are uploaded to Amazon Elastic Container Registry (ECR). These resources are then scanned for software vulnerabilities and potential network exposure issues.

New users of Amazon Inspector can benefit from a 15-day free trial, allowing them to test the service and estimate costs without any charges. During this period, all eligible Amazon EC2 instances, AWS Lambda functions, and container images pushed to Amazon ECR will be scanned continuously at no extra cost. Once the trial concludes, users will be billed according to Amazon Inspector’s standard public pricing. For further pricing details, users are encouraged to check the Amazon Inspector pricing page.

To begin using Amazon Inspector, interested parties can refer to the service’s documentation or initiate their free trial today.
