Claude platform now available on AWS

AWS has launched the Claude Platform, providing direct access to Anthropic’s services through existing AWS accounts. This integration simplifies access to Claude Platform features without the need for separate billing or account management.

AWS has announced that the Claude Platform is now generally available on its cloud service, marking a significant development for users seeking access to Anthropic’s native Claude Platform experience. This launch makes AWS the first cloud provider to offer such direct access through existing AWS accounts, streamlining the process for developers and organizations.

With this integration, users can now utilize Anthropic’s Claude Platform features—including APIs, console access, and early-access beta functionalities—without the need for managing separate accounts, billing processes, or tracking systems. This service is operated by Anthropic, with customer data being processed outside the AWS security boundary, ensuring a seamless experience for development teams and enterprises that do not have specific regional data residency requirements.

Customers can continue to use their existing AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) credentials and access controls, benefiting from consolidated billing and CloudTrail audit logging for enhanced security oversight. The Claude Platform on AWS offers a range of features, such as Claude Managed Agents (beta), advisor strategy (beta), web search and fetch, code execution, a files API (beta), Skills (beta), an MCP connector (beta), prompt caching, citations, batch processing, and the Claude Console for prompt development and assessment.

The Claude Platform on AWS is available in several regions, including US East (N. Virginia and Ohio), US West (Oregon), Canada (Central), South America (São Paulo), and various locations across Europe and the Asia Pacific. Interested parties can find more information on the Claude Platform on AWS product page and can begin utilizing the service by consulting the Claude Platform on AWS documentation.
