AWS billing conductor enhances account visibility with new features
AWS Billing Conductor Console now provides a feature to identify accounts missing pro forma billing data access after accepting billing transfer invites. This enhancement aids in closing billing visibility gaps.
The AWS Billing Conductor Console has introduced a new feature that allows users to identify accounts that have received or accepted billing transfer invitations but still do not have access to pro forma billing data. This enhancement aids customers in identifying and addressing gaps in their account’s billing visibility.
When an account accepts a billing transfer invitation, the billing data is transferred to the inviting account. By setting up a billing group through AWS Billing Conductor, accounts can gain access to pro forma cost data using the Billing and Cost Management tools. The new feature provides a clear view of which accounts currently lack access to this data, simplifying the process of completing this configuration step.
Customers can also opt for daily notifications through AWS User Notifications and Amazon EventBridge. These notifications provide a summary of accepted billing transfers that do not have an associated billing group. Notifications can be received via email, Amazon Q Developer in chat applications such as Slack, Microsoft Teams, and Amazon Chime, as well as through AWS Console Mobile Application push notifications and the Console Notifications Center.
The features are currently available in the US East (N. Virginia) region. Users interested in utilizing these features can start by visiting the AWS Billing Conductor console. For more information on setting up EventBridge integration, users can refer to the EventBridge documentation. Instructions for configuring User Notifications are available in the User Notifications documentation. Additional details on Billing Transfer and AWS Billing Conductor can be found on the Billing Transfer product page, AWS Billing documentation, and the AWS Cost Management documentation.
